WPA (GPO), CACA Leaders Visit Commercial Counselor of Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou of

Upon scheduling a meeting with Commercial Counselor Muhammad Irfan, Huang Yanbin, Director of Planning and Finance Division of WPA (GPO), Li Guoqiang, Director of South China General Workstation of CACA, and Fu Jun, Deputy Director of Xinjiang Workstation Preparation Group of CACA traveled to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou on February 13. They expressed respect and gratitude to Mr. Irfan for his warm reception.

Then, Mr. Huang expressed four goals. First and foremost, he hoped to better the Pakistani government's understanding of WPA (GPO), which was founded by peasants' groups from 27 nations, including China and Pakistan. He also hoped to encourage extensive peasant and agricultural cooperation between the Pakistani and WPA (GPO) in Pakistan and around the world. Second, through the platform of WPA (GPO), we expect to further develop close ties and interactions between Chinese and Pakistani peasants in the fields of skill development, culture and the arts, and agricultural technology. Third, by using the influence of WPA (GPO), we hope to encourage widespread collaboration between China and Pakistan in agricultural production, international trade, investment, and finance.

Mr. Irfan expressed a keen interest in this and inquired about WPA (GPO)'s financing source, training programs in agricultural science and technology, this year's activity schedule, and other issues. Mr. Huang responded one at a time, and Mr. Li added more responses. Mr. Irfan said he was eager to attend this year's Second International Conference of WPA (GPO) and that he would actively support the connection of Pakistani domestic peasants' groups with WPA (GPO).

The potential for Chinese and Pakistani agricultural collaboration is enormous. In order to actively encourage the development of agricultural cooperation between the two nations, WPA (GPO) will incorporate all available resources.
