Scholarship Donation Ceremony to SISU by CACA (WPA Greater China Region) Successfully Held

CACA’s scholarship donation ceremony to SISU was held successfully on June 19 at SISU Songjiang Campus. Lin Ziyu, CACA’s Deputy Secretary General and Director of Project Management Division, Li Ji, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Division, Zhang Yugui, Dean of School of Economics and Finance of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), Dai Di Ping, Director of Faculty Affairs Committee, Sun Jian, Director of Logistics Division at SISU, Chen Yueyang, Deputy Secretary General of the council of China-Arab Research Center on Reform and Development, and Zhao Mu, Deputy Secretary General of SISU Education Development Foundation, were present at the donation ceremony.

Zhang Yugui expressed profound gratitude to CACA for its generous donation and fully affirmed its altruistic effort to help students. He emphasized that the scholarship donation contribution is another good deed by CACA to help students, following the supply of materials to SISU during the “lockdown in Shanghai” in 2022, demonstrating a high level of social responsibility and devotion.

Li Ji praised SISU’s efforts in cultivating foreign language and complicated professional talents. He explained the objective and vision of CACA, as well as the initial intention of providing monies to education. “CACA 8720 Scholarship” was established to reward students from rural areas who have good character and academic excellence in School of Economics and Finance and China-Arab Research Center on Reform and Development, as well as to help revitalize rural talents and their overall development. CACA is eager to provide various types of internship opportunities for SISU students and believes that SISU can supply professionals to promote CACA’s worldwide agricultural exchanges and cooperation.

Sun Jian, Chen Yueyang and Zhao Mu also expressed their gratitude to CACA for the donation and introduced the development of China-Arab Research Center on Reform and Development and the Education Development Foundation. In a speech on behalf of the honorees, Xie Luoya, Master of Finance, Class of 2021, thanked CACA for the gift and promised to work hard in her studies so she could give back to society with the information she has acquired.

On behalf of SISU, Mr. Zhang Yugui issued a certificate of donation to CACA. Leaders of CACA granted scholarship certificates to the first batch of students who received “CACA 8720 Scholarship”.
