An investment promotion meeting in agriculture sector was held in Hefei, China’s Anhui Province in late November. The event was hosted by Zunyi Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, organized by CACA’s Anhui Sub-branch, Zunyi Pepper Industry Association, and co-organized by China Vegetable Marketing Association, Guizhou Pepper Industry Association, Zunyi Pepper Industry Research Association, Shinongtai Liquor Industry Co., Ltd., aiming to promote the cooperation between Zunyi’s pod pepper industry and CACA’s affiliates in East China.

Zunyi’s pod pepper has long been a standout agricultural product in the nation, thanks to its exceptional quality and taste. This promotion meeting is to widen the reach of this premium agricultural product in East China and bolster the brand influence. The meeting was attended by Zhang Xuejun, Deputy Secretary of CACA, Li Kaixiang, Vice Chairman of Zunyi Political Consultative Conference, deputy leader of  Zunyi Pepper Industry Development Leading Group, Ren Jie, deputy director of Zunyi Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Liu Zhengyi, director of Hefei Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Sun Gongbing, Director of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of Hefei Political Consultative Conference, Li Jun, deputy director of Hefei Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Xie Wanjun, deputy head of CACA’s East China Branch, Wang Yifan, deputy director of CACA’s Art Committee Office, Du Ailong, general manager of Shinongtai Liquor Industry Company, Ma Bangshan, president of Anhui Cuisine Association, as well as other leaders and experts.

During the meeting, Li Kaixiang provided a detailed overview of the geographic advantages and distinctive characteristics of Zunyi’s pod pepper. He emphasized that pod pepper benefits from its unique geographic environment and planting techniques, resulting in a unique flavor and quality. The investment promotion event in East China (Anhui) presents a significant opportunity for Zunyi’s pod pepper to expand its market and enhance brand recognition. He hoped that this event would further promote cooperation between Zunyi and East China, particularly Anhui Province, to achieve mutual benefit.

During his speech, Zhang Xuejun stated that CACA is dedicated to promoting the development of agricultural industry. The cooperation with Zunyi Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau to host this event is a significant endeavor for the association, aimed at serving agriculture, rural areas and driving industrial development. He hoped that this event would help Zuny’s pod pepper to establish stronger ties with the agricultural industry in East China, creating more opportunities and platforms for cooperative growth between the two sides.

During the product promotion section, around ten enterprises, including Guizhou Zhuohao, Guizhou Jiaotou Agriculture, and Zunyi Hongmanpo Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., showcased the exceptional quality and diverse product lines of Zunyi’s pod pepper to the guests. The exhibition of these enterprises garnered the attention of numerous traders.

More than 100 businessmen from Anhui in the catering and seasoning industries attended the event. The on-site display and promotion provided these merchants with a comprehensive understanding of Zunyi’s pod pepper. The attendees expressed their willingness to establish long-term cooperative relationships with Zunyi’s pepper enterprises, with the aim of increasing the market share and brand influence of Zunyi’s pod pepper in East China.

Additionally, 9 cooperation projects were signed. Among them, Anhui, Hainan, and Guangxi Sub-branches signed agreements with Zunyi Jinwang Agricultural Development Company, Guizhou Plateau Mountain Organic Food Company, and Zunyi Academy of Agricultural Sciences Pepper Research Institute. Shinongtai Liquor Industry Co., Ltd., as subsidiary of CACA, also signed a cooperation agreement. The signing of these agreements will ensure a strong partnership between Zunyi’s pod pepper and the agricultural industry in East China.

On Dec. 22, 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China approved the registration and protection of the geographical indication of agricultural products for Zunyi’s Pod Pepper. This designation recognizes Zunyi’s pod pepper as a unique agricultural product and will promote the development of Zunyi pod pepper industry and brand.

The investment promotion meeting was successful in building a platform for agricultural industry cooperation in East China and Zunyi. It is believed that Zunyi’s pod pepper will soon become a popular food in the East China market. Simultaneously, CACA will undertake more valuable cooperative projects and activities nationwide to jointly promote the prosperity and development of China’s agricultural industry.
