On March 26, the Chinese delegation led by WPA Secretary General Zhang Qi visited Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP) in Cambodia and met with H.E. HEI Bavy, Vice President of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Chairman & CEO of PPAP. The meeting discussed port logistics, industrial park development, ecological restoration of abandoned mines, hillside utilization, agricultural product trade processing, supply chain logistics, and other topics to strengthen bilateral agricultural cooperation and create a win-win situation.

During the meeting, Zhang Qi emphasized the strategic importance of PPAP as a key port for Cambodian agricultural exports in expanding Sino-Cambodian economic relations, especially in agriculture. He highlighted China's extensive experience in port building, warehouse logistics, agricultural product cultivation, processing, and trade, and expressed a desire to share expertise to enhance bilateral agricultural cooperation.

HEI Bavy welcomed the delegation and Zhang Qi, and discussed PPAP’s development plans as well as the status quo of agriculture in Cambodia. He underlined Cambodia's willingness to provide further investment facilitation and policy support to Chinese enterprises, aiming to expand the market collectively. He also recognized China's significant achievements in port building and agricultural product trading, with the hope of further enhancing bilateral agricultural cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides discussed policies for industrial park development, ecological restoration of abandoned mines, hillside utilization, rice cultivation, and agricultural product trade processing. HEI Bavy elaborated on Cambodia's policies and efforts in these areas, providing useful insights and references to the Chinese delegation. This meeting laid a solid foundation for future bilateral cooperation and helped to the expansion of Sino-Cambodian agricultural cooperation.
